SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Ideal candidate:

• 5+ years of experience with with data base administration 
• Native ORACLE and SAP on ORACLE
• MS SQL
• SAP MaxDB 
• Postgress
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology. 
• Mastering command-line tools and shell scripting.
• Experience with Windows, UNIX and Linux
• Strong and constant focus on security. 
• Independent working style and analytical thinking skills. 
• Communication skills and intercultural competence. 
• Flexibility to deal with changing tasks and changing working conditions. 
• Strategic thinking and acting and structured problem analysis. 
• Team spirit, shares knowledge, takes over responsibilities. 
• Fluent English skills it’s a must. Fluent English skills.  

job main tasks:

• Database installations, upgrades and patching 
• Backup, restore, recovery of database systems 
• Execution of system copies  
• Perform health checks, analyze the results and implement recommendations 
• Hardening of databases to STIHL security requirements 
• Customizing of database systems to the STIHL environment 
• Monitoring of the database landscape 
• Processing of database incidents 
• Performance analysis of applications
