Global Mobility Consultant

STIHL Romania is looking for a proactive Global Mobility Consultant to join our international HR team. In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for employees and managers regarding all matters related to international employee assignments ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, and labor regulations, facilitating smooth relocations, including secondments, apprentice and student exchanges.
You will be working closely with our headquarters Global Mobility (GM) team and external partners, who will help us deliver a high-quality mobility experience across the board.
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
- A successfully completed degree in economics, human resources, law, or a comparable education with a strong HR focus
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar HR role, ideally within a multinational company or related industry
- Strong communication skills in negotiation-level English; German is a plus
- A collaborative, confident demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- A structured and analytical working style, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- A growth mindset, eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic international environment
- A good understanding of immigration laws, tax implications, and international relocation processes (nice to have).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You'll act as primary contact for assignees and oversee the end-to-end process of international assignments, including relocation, immigration, and tax compliance, apprentice and student exchanges.
- You’ll provide support and advice to managers and employees throughout all phases of their international assignments, including document preparation at all stages.
- You’ll communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and authorities for visa applications, work permits, tax advice, and social security matters
- You’ll prepare cost calculations and approvals and reviews allowances
- You’ll ensure adherence to immigration laws, tax regulations, and employment laws in collaboration with external legal counsel or immigration specialists
You’ll handle the operational execution of A1 and reporting obligations, including special cases, and resolve residency issues related to business trips - You’ll maintain clear and timely communication with stakeholders at every step, both internal (HR, Payroll, HQ Global Mobility) and external
- You’ll serve as a reliable sparring partner for our Headquarter Global Mobility team, helping align global strategies with local execution
