Project Manager Plastics

As a Plastics Technology Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving innovation and efficiency in our injection molding operations. You’ll lead projects for new machines and equipment, collaborate closely with R&D on plastic part development, and introduce cutting-edge processes. Your mission will be to optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and standardize technologies across our production landscape. This role requires strong expertise in plastics engineering, hands-on experience with simulation tools like Moldex3D, and a proactive mindset to lead technical change and digital transformation.

You're a Great Fit If You have:

• Higher education, University Degree;
• Very good degree as B./M. Eng. Plastics technology or mechanical engineering with a focus on plastics technology;
• more than 3 years experience in the field of plastics processing and project management;
• Excellent expertise in the field of plastics engineering;
• Experience in working with a filling simulation software, ideally Moldex3D;
• Independent, structured way of working and process-orientated thinking;
• Confident communication at all levels of collaboration;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Advanced written & spoken English; German is a plus.  

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Drive injection molding projects;
• Project manager for new machines and equipment (IJM, Hotgaswelding, Pad Printing);
• Main Contact for the R&D Department regarding Plastic Parts;
• Introducing new processes;
• Drive process improvements, including cycle time efficiency and scrap reduction, using simulation tools;
• Assist in the setup, operation, troubleshooting;
• Capacity evaluation and equipment procurement & aligns capacity with plant manager;
• Prepare data for part calculation;
• Standardization of machines & digitalization;
• Technology leader;
• Management of technical changes.
