Finance & Controlling Lead

STIHL Romania is looking for a proactive Finance & Controlling Lead to coordinate our global FiCo team. In this role, you will drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across finance and controlling activities while continuously enhancing processes and generating value for the business.

You will work closely with international stakeholders and cross-functional partners, guiding your team through complex financial operations while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

• You bring a degree in Economics, Business or a related field.
• You have extensive knowledge and experience in Finance & Controlling, with proven expertise in global operations
• You have a strong background in process management, optimization, and automation, paired with a process-oriented mindset
• You have a strategic and economic thinking, with the ability to translate operational challenges into clear, actionable insights for senior management
• You have strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage, develop, and motivate teams and individuals in an international setup
• You have solid experience in managing projects, including planning, tracking, and execution
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution- and results-driven approach
• You have strong conflict resolution, change management, and adaptability skills
• You are proficiency in financial performance tracking and operational governance
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Romanian; German is a plus
• You enjoy working in an international and intercultural setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• You’ll lead the Finance & Controlling team working with the EU entities of STIHL, ensuring smooth and compliant execution of finance and controlling processes across all entities
• You’ll identify inefficiencies and drive the implementation of process improvements, data governance, and automation initiatives
• You’ll act as the “voice of the Finance & Controlling function,” articulating requirements, translating operational challenges into strategic insights, and engaging with senior management
• You’ll be supporting the setup of the local finance structure while also taking the lead on the S4/HANA rollout
• You’ll oversee financial reporting, performance monitoring, and project execution, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business objectives
• You’ll provide strong leadership to your team, promoting engagement, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption across the global setup
• You’ll foster collaboration with other global functions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and directives
• You’ll drive change initiatives and strengthen adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
